30 meters has been hopping lately. QNI for the net went quite well as the stations coming back to me were 579 most of the time. Check-ins were: WB2HTO, Dave in MA; KO5G, David in TX; K5WTA, Jake in FL; N5ZTW, Delbert in TX; W5APS, Jim in TX. Though there were no major announcements, greetings were shared between all participants.
After the net, K5WTA and I worked each other for about 5 minutes using MFSK16. I answered a MFSK16 CQ from WA5MHE, Ed in El Paso, TX and we chatted about 30 minutes. Near the end of our chat, a ZL3 station called for Ed. He picked it up and they chatted for a while. It was about 10:30 Eastern time about then. Without a large number of sunspots, it was good to see 30 meters useful at night.
Our next Feld Hell Club Net is another 40 meter net on Thursday 0200 UTC, 7077 KHz + 1000 Hz audio freq. All are welcome to participate. SWL foks can send me a greetings via email (wulfeku1@yahoo.com) and I'll spin off a QSL card from the Net and send it to them.
