My Ham Radio Interests
First licensed in 1979 as KA4OEZ. Currently Advanced class and working on my Extra class ticket.
Have three children. Joel Jr, Breanna, and Amanda. Born in 1959. Retired from the United States Air Force. Past assignments - Tinker AFB, Ok, Myrtle Beach AFB S.C, Robins AFB Ga., Joint Stars - Melbourne Fl.,Kadena AB,Okinawa Japan, and 55th Maint Sq at Offutt AFB NE. I retired from the Air Force on 1 November 2003 after 22 years of faithful service. I was trained as a aircraft maintenance tech working on large aircraft. I crewed AWACS (Boeing 707) for about 4 years while at Tinker AFB in OK. Then I cross trained to Air Traffic Control and moved to Myrtle Beach SC. Then I went back into the aircraft maintenance field where I crewed KC-135R model aircraft (Tankers) at Robins AFB in Ga. Then in 1995 I was transfered to Melbourne FL and worked on the JStars aircraft. Then in 1998, we received an assignment at Kadena AB in Okinawa Japan. We loved Japan and ended up staying there for four years. Then with only one year left on my contract, we came back to the states to Offutt AFB NE where we only stayed 10 months due to my Air Force retirement. I retired from the US Air Force on 1 Nov 2003.
Presently I work as a Logistics Engineer for Lockheed Martin in Cape Canaveral Florida under the PTDS program.
