DXCC Honor Roll

From 4F2KWT

Today arrived the confirmation that I had indeed been accepted to the DXCC Honor Roll. It was FJ/VE3EY St. Barthelemy that gave me the QSL card that clinched the effort. The QSO was made on August 2009 right smack at the bottom of the solar cycle! Distance between us is 10050 miles +/- and I had to go through a wall of JAs to my north. Who needs sun spots!

Congratulations Gil! That makes me feel more bad...missed the Honor Roll by 9 entities when I left DU.

Ernie, the last one was the most difficult of course. Had 2 options that did not materialize. Looking forward to #1! There is always a goal after the last one. Just to keep on moving, you understand. 73 Gil

Thank you very much Marq. It is how we mark our maturity in this hobby I guess. Some make great strides in improving their antennas, others shoot for great distances in the microwaves, etc. To be sure, we do not lack for challenges here. Yesterday I climbed my hundred foot tower and replaced a rotator. There has been some free time lately so I have been doing badly needed maintenance work on the antennas; now the K9AY loop works again! Yes, #1 on the strategic plans, hi.
