Hi out there in the cyber world, this Bob, AB4AL here.

I've been involved in communications since I was a little kid. My father W8ROE(SK)introduced Ham Radio to me from day one. Today if you look up W8ROE, the call now belongs to my son Neal.

I attended several Universities in my life with my major interest in engineering and science.

I served 23 years active duty and 7 years in the Fleet Reserve in the U.S. Navy as a Crytologic Technician and as a Training Device expert. I've operated and maintained sophisticated communications equipment, computers and was a qualified flight instructor on the TA4J Sky-Hawk fighter jet. I was also a propulsion & power generation controls expert for the DD-963 Spruance Class Destroyer.

After I retired from the Navy I worked for ZacKit Electronics in Vallejo, Ca. I was involved in the sales of electronic parts to repair facilities, industry and private individuals.

Now I am fully retired and am involved with two radio clubs in my area.
