Well after so much procrastination, I have done it. I passed my Extra class today and am finally at the top. Sixteen years of procrastination and it"s done. Should have done it a long time ago.

Congratulations!!

I'm the boat you just bailed out of - procrastinating but wanting to step up and get Extra.

Failed the Extra exam by a few points, very close. Gonna have to hit the books again and pass it this time. Would love to be able to transmit on all those extra band segments. I think they should have an optional 20 WPM code test, and give those who pass a special call sign just to reflect their achievement.

Thanks for the congratulations! I tell you, Hamtest online is the way to go. I bought 2 different study books of the most recommended authors and they were like reading a dull, dry story. Hamtest online was actually the best learning course I have ever taken. The way it repeats and explains the questions so you understand them is really great. After a 1 hour session each night I would read through the book material I had during the next day and after a few days it just all clicked. I understood not only the formulas and theory and rules/regs, but how they worked which made it so much easier on the test. I began to be able to see, in the question itself, the answer. It was actually kinda fun to see how the more I studied, the program would start shifting me into more and newer material until I had it all. It took 23 hours with this course and the really cool thing is that the info is still with me. Not trying to sound like an ad for the website, but it really really works. Give it a try, it worked great for me! 73s and good luck, hope to cu on the lower 25!
