Hi,

I am really getting tired of reading the CRAP from all the angry and nasty people on the ham radio web sites.

I have to say that if I had read all that stuff before I got my license I would have dropped the whole idea.

I think some of that stuff is not good for amateur radio. Any prospective future ham would probably figure everyone involved in this hobby is an old nasty, cranky bastard.

I have met some fine people associated with ham radio and I'm sure I'll meet a lot more. To them I say thanks. I'll always be greatful.

I have to just stop reading and contributing to those disussions on those sites. You know, from now on I'll spend my time on the air havin' fun!

The number of keyboard jockeys has surpassed the number of licensed hams and is getting worse every day. We are RADIO operators, I can't understand this fixation with spending more time on the internet than on the air. Hopefully it is just a propagation thing and as propagation picks back up, there will be more QSO's on the air than on the internet.
I agree, the trash you read on the chat rooms and discussion boards drives me crazy. I sure don't point prospective hams to those type of sites for information.

If you look closely at those sites you will notice that the people who get into those arguments are genrally the same select few individuals who are always arguing there and have tens of thousands of posts - pretty much they have no life and spend too much time on internet forums.

Don't worry about them. They're so busy fighting on the web that they're not spending any time on the air.
