Hi,

I am just now updating my blog and realized I didn't finish my entry for FD 2008.

This years FD was the most fun I've had on FD. I volunteered to be a coach at the GOTA station this year. For the past several years W8PGW and W8UM team up and run FD together. For the GOTA station we use W8PGW and the regular FD stations use W8UM. This allows the Arrow Club and the radio club at the University of Michigan to gather and support each other.

This year was kind of sad for me assisting in the GOTA station because of the passing of my friend AB8ZI. Mark was a great guy who worked in the GOTA station last year.

This year we had a great turn out of members and their families. We also had a great turn out at the GOTA station of newly upgraded hams and unlicensed vistors.

The rain stayed away long enough to get most of the stuff setup Friday night and we were all ready Saturday morning.

I'm hoping next year is even better!

73!
