Well as we all know the bands are just in the tank. I still try each and every day and to my amazement there is still some good DX to be had out there. The VP6D DX-pedition was really good. Think I got them on 7 bands of good CW work. The November SS was good also just seemed it was not my weekend for contesting. Think I did about 40 or 50 Q's and was just not feeling it so hung it up this year. Looking forward to the CQWW CW test, never really go hog wild about it but sometimes there is some DX that can fill some band spots for me and it's always fun to see how well the rig preforms with all the big guns out there. The up coming holidays are almost here, so if your reading this I want to wish all of you a happy holiday season from Arizona and hope 2019 will be a great year for everyoen.

Best Regards,
Ron N7RD

Hi Ron, sure hope we've hit the bottom of the cycle and looking upward now :-) Been focusing mostly on 30m and down, those bands seem to be pretty good when the sunspots aren't cooperating :-) 73 es Good DX to ya from Sunny NC.

Hi again, Ron! I had a problem where I buggered up my password here and just got that straightened out and back on myhamshack :-) Anyway, the lower bands have been my hangout during the lull in spots, can't wait to see those numbers go back up :-)

Hi Dave, know what you mean. I tore my shack apart as I just sold my FT-1000mp Mk5. It's sort of quiet here, I purchased a one owner FT-2000D from a friend in New Jersey. It has the AC0C roofing filter installed and is a 200 watt rig like my Mk5 was. Seemed like a good time to get all ready for the upcoming low band season. Hope we can hook up on the air. I am on about every day but will be about a week before my other rig gets here. Best of DX Dave talk later. Ron N7RD
