BTW, the newest version of 9500 is even more reliable! It uses a hall effect sensor to replace the noisey pot for the bandswitch position sensor. This upgrade alone makes it way more reliable. That and we now install a fuse in series with the 40v (cathode) line to save the bias supply in the event a tube arc ever occurs!
