Howdy and Thank You For Dropping In!

We have now been residing in Big Water, Utah, for over 9 years, still enjoying being able to overlook scenic rock formations and the majestic Lake Powell on the Colorado River with its Emerald Green waters, from our front porch. We are still very active on our IRLP Node, #3362, (145.510). Please give us a call and say Hello!

On September 28, 2013, owner W7WAC requested the Engineers from The Utah VHF Society install a new replacement repeater on Navajo Mountain, Utah, A Kenwood TKR-750. The repeater, still under the ownership of W7WAC, has a 100 Hz PL Tone as before and the frequencies remain as listed in the Repeater Directory. The previous protocols remain in effect.

On July 2nd 2014 the Utah VHF Society serviced the 96 repeater site. At which time the antenna and coax were all upgraded with new. Also once again, the 96 has the ability to link into the Utah VHF Intermountain INTERTIE, and IRLP Node 3362 upon request.

This completes the total upgrade of the 96 repeater to all new components.

Alas, as of September 2008, we have finally completed the installation of a US Tower, TX455, topping it with a new Diamond X510HDM as of April 7, 2015, approximately 80 ft in the air, just below it is a Cuscraft A-13S 2m/70cm/6m Yagi, below it is a Cushcraft A-3S with 40m add on, and then last but not least, a G5RV True-Talk 204' dipole, giving us the ability to cover all bands.
As of December 24th, 2009, we upgraded our faithful Yaesu FT-920 to a Yaesu FT-2000D, now once again on January 21st, 2015, we upgraded to the awesome Yaesu FTDX-9000, Wow! What a grand experience it is to operate, that is if I ever figure it all out.

Some of our favorite frequencies are on the 80m band, Please come and join in.

On July 23rd, 2011, we became members of CQ-100, another fun way to enjoy Ham Radio, for further info go to, www.qsonet.com

Wishing you all a Healthy and Prosperous 2015, we here, are looking forward to the up and coming months with high anticipation of the Bands opening up.

Update; As of January 12, 2015 W7WAC became a member in the 'Western Country Cousin's Net' to which I will add, was Great Fun trying to meet the requirements to become a member, and I would like to pass along a great big Thank You to my new relatives at The Western Country Cousin's Net, for their help and kindness. I liked this quote so much I borrowed it from a UK friend;

" It is not the class of license the Amateur holds, but the class of the Amateur that holds the license.

Due to the proximity of Post Offices here in rural Utah, my License has my Postal Box in Northern Arizona, actual station location is in Big Water Utah.

73, and may God Bless America
