CFARS FREE Hamfest This Saturday, 7/6/11

The CFARS hamfest is this coming Saturday, Aug 6th, in Fayetteville NC. There is no admission charge and no fee for tables. Tailgating is permitted, f you can take the heat. Their website is Contact David KR4OE, the Swapfest Chairman, at of via phone at 910-624-1394

They are having issues with our primary repeater in Fayetteville which is 146.910(100hz tone). It is designated as the talk in for the CFARS
Swapfest this Saturday. In the event the repeater is down please switch over to 147.330(100hz tone) for directions. This repeater is located on the Fort Bragg military reservation.

There is a test session on site, walk-in's are acceptable, and you need to be there at 9am (testing at 9:30). If you're selling, you can get in as early as 6:30 am to set up. General admission is from 8am until 12-noon.

The site is in the Reeves Auditorium on the campus of the Methodist University, Hwy 401 North (5400 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville). The test session is in the Science building (look for the building with the tall tower behind Reeves Auditorium).
