My Ham Radio Interests
Latest achievment 5BDXCC, now need 6 more for DX Honor Roll. Finally got around to putting up a dipole for 160 meters so now I am active on that band.
Frequently I check into the Vintage SSB Net, Sat at 9:00 AM CST on 3.838 and Swan User Group, Sun at 2100GMT on 14.250.
I hang out around 3.838 chewing the rag usually with one of the vintage rigs.
Every August I operate W9ZT/VE3 from my cottage on Eva Lake in NW Ontario when taking a break from catching the lunkers.
Hope to CU on bands.
73!
Brad

Computer RFI 5/28/2010 12:00:24 PM (224 views) (0 comments)

After expending the money and effort to erect a 160 meter half wave dipole I realized the troubling but tolerable RFI on 80 meters generated by my PC was horrific on 160 meters. Often I would just shut my PC down when operating on 80 meters especially when trying to work weak DX, but what a hassle. So I did some research online and decided to try ...
