My Ham Radio Interests
Received my ticket in 1976 (WD6GCG). My elmer was my uncle Bob Molihan (SK WB6WDW). I have also held the call, AB6GY.
Enjoy CW and DXing....
My Equipment
My shack changes on a regular basis. I've tried most all HF equipment. The only rig(s) I've kept are the FT-1000D, FT-990 and the TS-520S (My first rig). I also try to keep a rig around for 6 meters.
Other Interests
Enjoy history, astronomy, building telescopes, trains, boats, planes and fishing in the Eastern Sierra's. Also own a 1968 Mustang California Special which has been in the family since new.
I work in the aerospace business (missile/satellite launches)at the Western Test Range (Vandenberg AFB, CA)as a staff configuration management specialist. I have also worked in the music business since the 60's still do a "gig" from time to time.
I am a U.S. Army veteran (Viet Nam era Huey Door Gunner, 67N20).
