My Ham Radio Interests
I currently work mostly PSK31 when I am active on the HF bands. I am a very casual operator, which means I don't spend much time on the air. I live in an antenna restricted area, so am limited to a ground-mounted Hustler 4BTV vertical for 10/15/20/40 meters. I also operate occasionally from a campground using a variety of mobile whips. I used to be respectable at CW, at speeds in the 20-25 wpm range, but have not operated that mode much in years. To say I am rusty would be putting it mildly! I have operated VHF/UHF weak signal modes in the past (when I had antennas), and have VUCC on 6 meters from northwest Indiana. I still operate 6 occasionally, but with very limited antennas.
