My Ham Radio Interests
Former U.S. Navy Radioman Chief Petty Officer (Retired).
Planning to go digital in the future when shack is set up, mayhaps some slow scan and who knows what else.
I hold the ARRL and CQ DXCC and the usual fun type awards (RCC, WAC etc)that I worked for. I Have chased Russian DX for a long time (hold the Russian P-150 DXCC, P6K, P15P P100O and W100U certificates) and am reaching for the Russian Robinson Award (with some 15 or so contacted made and awaiting confirmation.
I answer all QSL received and send cards for all contacts to DX. I do use the Bureaus, too!
In the case of US stations, I will send confirmation for country award. Surprisingly,(mayhaps Not!), I receive very few replies in return.
I do some building (I have an unfinished TT2 Unit sitting on the bench, by golly!) and antenna stuff. I have even built my own Ukulele (from a kit, of course). I may even get into building some Bird houses this winter, who knows.

My Equipment
FT-1000 MK V Field at Base. Base is not active as yet due relocation pains (read One man installation crew consisting of Me, Myself, My shadow and I), of antenna and such), after move from Cork Ireland, to present location in Lititz, PA.
I have installed but not really finished with, my mobile setup. Using a FT-857D to an 1800 mobile antenna mounted on my Scion Xb vehicle.

Other Interests
I shall endeavour to get a couple of flicks posted in the future, If I can figure out how to run this 'Dumbputer.

My Radio Clubs
LRTS (Lancaster Radio Transmitter Society.)
I am a long time member of the ARRL and a short time member (8 Years) of the Irish Radio Transmitters Society. Member of SPAR.
