My Ham Radio Interests
Most active on CW, on all but 160. Really enjoy 30 and 40M CW in the evenings. I do work some PSK and once in awhile, find myself on phone, but still the most fun is CW.
My Equipment
Currently using a Kenwood TS-570D and it makes a great CW radio with the filters I have installed.
I do not bother with the internal tuner, as my MFJ Versa Tuner does a fine job. Using a Zero Five 33' ground mounted vertical and with that I can work all bands including 30 and 60 meters. I also have up an homebrew OCF Dipole with the apex at 30'. I use a Yaesu FT-2800M for 2M and am able to work a few hundred miles around the area with the excellent repeater systems in the area.
Other Interests
Enjoy photography, and this is a great area for it. Also like backpacking, skiing the backcountry, when it's not 50 below zero, reading, especially Gods Word, engraving and traveling around this beautiful state.
My Radio Clubs
I am a member of FISTS # 9161, SKCC # 3943
