My Ham Radio Interests
I'm a pretty recently licensed ham. My best friend, W8MOJ, got me interested in getting my ticket and in June 2007 I passed the tech and general tests. I took the advice to "listen before you transmit" a little to seriously and it wasn't until this year that I really got going. Outside of my HT, I stick to digital modes. PSK31 for contacts and FeldHell for fun. Not sure what is next, but maybe a trip to the Dayton Hamfest will give me some ideas.

Equipment
I run an Argonaut V with CAT control mostly, but have been slowly getting a Kenwood TS-520 back in working condition, in case I get an urge for more power. Both radios use a G5RV antenna I have running east/west at about 20 ft.

Other Interests
I like Kayaking, hiking, backpacking and just about any type of travel. I've been to almost every state in the US (Alaska is still eluding me) and have visited Europe, Asia and Australia.

For relaxation, I like reading, music and oriental ink and brush painting.
