My Passion of Ham Radio is somewhat different from others.. I love testing and trying different radio equipment.

At Presant I am running an Icom 7800 and a Yaesu FT9000D. Ive always been an Icom Man but the FT9000 is one sweet radio. I think the 7800 is easier to operate and the RX is better.. The TX seems better on the 9000.. I am looking at a new Icom 7700.. Amps I am running are Alpha 77SX and a Henry 8K Ultra.. as well as an Icom 4KL. I am also running 2 Icom 2027H's and an Icom 2800 as well as an Icom 970H with a TE Systems 2m brick. Antennas are 10 elemenbt 2m vert and Horz Cushcraft and a 11 ele Cushcraft 440 .. HF a OCF 16 - 80 m Dipole and a Force 12 108S 75M rotatable Dipole. Next on the tower is a SteppIR 4 element W/ 40M Dipole kit. All on a Triex LM470 Motorized Crankup tower. I also have 2 sets of Array Solutions wattmeters and a Palstar 5K antenna tuner.. I also play with a Kenwood TS480HX and an Icom 7000.
