I was first licensed around the age of 14. The callsign then was WB4ZFV and I was living in Memphis Tennessee. My first rig was a Heathkit CW rig, model unknown. My second rig was a Yaesu FT-101E with accessories. I got my ticket again in 1998 as KC0CHJ when I moved to Pierre, South Dakota. My vanity callsign acquired 12-27-2006 is K0PIR. I enjoy DX chasing, CW and contesting. I also check into various nets. My OMISS number is 3692.

I’ve always enjoyed the outdoors and I have two fine sons that go fishing, camping, backpacking, rock climbing and downhill skiing with me. I also enjoy riding my motorcycle.
