My Ham Radio Interests
I enjoy everything this hobby has to offer. My main choice of operating is CW but also love SSB. I have become very active in the digital modes. My favorites are Hellschriber, PSK, RTTY, SSTV and MFSK.

My main enjoyment is ragchewing and meeting new people. I also like paper chasing. I try to operate in several contests a year.

Equipment
Rig1: Icom 756 Pro with Heil Pro Set IC
Rig2: Kenwood TS 2000 (mainly for vhf/uhf)
Rig3: Icom 726 with MFJ 949D tuner
Rig4: Drake TR3 with RV#3 Remote VFO


Antennas: 1. Gap Titan DX Mounted on the eave of the house. 2. 40 Meter dipole at about 30 feet 80 Meter Dipole at about 30 feet. 3. Tram dual band VHF/UHF. 4. Homebreew 2 meter J-Pole(used for monitoring.)6 Meter Dipole at about 25 feet. Elk antenna @m/440 Beam.

Using an Ameritron RCS-8v 5 position coax switch. Also have a Heathkit SA1480 5 position coax switch for a later project. Powering the station is a Zurich DPS-2512M 40 Amp power supply running to an MFJ1124 deluxe power outlet. I use an LDG DTS-4 to switch between the 756Pro, 726, and the Drake.

Shack computer is a Dell Dimension 2400 with 2.3Ghz processor and 1Gb of RAM. I use Windows XP Home SP2. I have Creative SB Live sound card (used for listening to music and as input for FDMDV) and a Creative SB PCI usef for all digital mode stuff. I am using a Rascal GLX interface for the digital stuff. I use the following software for different tasks: DXLab Suite (for all logging - great program) AC log (back up logging GenLog32 and N1MM for contest logging, DX Atlas. Ham Radio Deluxe ( Rig Control) Also have Ultimate Ham Shack from PTB software(neat little utility). For the digital modes I use the following Software: MultiPSK, Digital Master 780, MMTTY, MMSSTV, Ham Scope, and WinPsk, MMVARI, FDMDV (digital voice), and EasyPal (digital SSTV)

For CW I have a Nye Viking straight key and an MFJ 422 Keyer Paddle. (use the Nye Viking 90% of the time)

I have an I.C.E. 420 Low Pass filter and the I.C.E. 300 arrestor.

Other Interests
I received my first ham ticket in 1997 while I was a senior in high school. My elmer was my next door neighbor and Dad's boss Roy KC5PU. When I received my license I was in awe my call was KC5YPU.

I work as a police officer here in Floydada. I began my law enforcement career after I graduated high school as a dispatcher for a sheriff's office.

Some other hobbies:
I have started to enjoy digital photography, although I am still learning alot about it. I play the guitar - I like old rock and country. And ofcourse anything to do with computer is always fun. I also like martial arts.
