My Ham Radio Interests
I started from very young in the amateur radio, going through the very popular Citizen Band, hand in hand with my older brother BENITO, 10-28 "ZORRO BLANCO", (RIP). I got my first callsign, XE1UYC, for the year of 1998. 20 years later, on 2018, the Federal Institute of Telecommunications authorized my current callsign, XE1DZ.

I have participated in activities to support the community in disaster situations, with the installation of portable stations in the affected areas, such as the emergency suffered by the floods in 1999 in the northern area of Veracruz, Mexico, that has left me great satisfaction.

Through this hobby I have met many radio amateurs, many of great value, as real fans and as human beings.

I currently work the digital modes, PSK31 and SSTV, with a Kenwood TS-140S, the Kenwood AT-250 Antena Tunner, and a homemade interface. In phone, with a Kenwood TS-2000, equipped with a studio microphone Shure PGA27 and a mixer Behringer Xenyx1002FX; a Kenwood TS-440S with Kenwood MC-60 microphone; an Icom IC-706MKIIG with Icom SM-20 microphone; and an old but magnificent Icom IC-730 (my first HF) with a Cobra Dinamic CA-61 microphone adapted. For mobile or portable operation, I work with a Yaesu FT-747GX, the Icom IC-706MKIIG, and a Yaesu FT-1500M. In antennas, I have a HyGain TH3MKIII, for 20-15-10 meters; a Double Bazooka for 80-40 meters; the Solarcom A99 for 10-11 meters; and the Vertical and Directionals for 2m and 70cm.

I'm interested in the 6 meter band. I will make modifications in my tower for the installation of the antenna and work this band, and also install the Rotating Dipole for 40 meters that is necessary, and finally make it "justice to the investment".

I would like to work with the 160 meter band, but I do not have the necessary space to install antennas for this band. Pity!!!

I SENT YOU A CORDIAL GREETING AND AN AFFECTIVE HUG FROM XALAPA, MX.
