My Ham Radio Interests
Started back in the mid 1950's, as a schoolboy, playing with ex WD 18 sets and 19 sets along with a New Zealand ZC1 and a Bendix TA12. Had the usual R1155 and T1154 which I modified The PA to take two 807's. Built valve superhet RX and 6V6 and 6L6 transmitters in my school days. Obtained the 'B' licence in the 1970's as my interest turned to ATV fast scan and later SSTV. That interest died when computers came on the scene. Then the 'B' became a full licence (same as class 'A') but using the 'B' callsign so I became very active with Home Brew HF HAM Radio, valve and solid state. I have some military equipment as well. My other interest is Electronics in general.

I also Design and manufacture single and double-sided Printed Circuit Boards. I use this for HAM Radio projects and build test equipment for the company I retired from on a contract basis. Because of the recession, that has dropped off for the moment, so I am enjoying the HAM radio construction.

Equipment
Trio TS830, Yaesu FT401D, Bendix TA12, 2 X R107s, 2 X AR88s, RA17, R1155, HomeBrew valve control grid modulated AM transmitter. HomeBrew Screen grid modulated AM transmitter, HomeBrew Plate & screen grid transmitter. HomeBrew 4-125 AM Plate&Screen grid transmitter. HomeBrew 4-400 Linear(400 watts). HomeBrew Suitcase portable valve transmitter/receiever,HomeBrew solid state (class E) transmitter and regen receiver built into metal tool box. HomeBrew 600 watt Dummy Load.
